Globe once again joined forces with e-Games in celebrating the latter’s DomiNation-themed 2nd anniversary event that brought together all of eGames’ loyal online gamers and partners.
Globe partnered with eGames last year in the Globe Broadband Tournament of Champions, a tournament for RAN Online and Audition Dance Battle players. Globe is hoping to continue this partnership as a show of support to the growing online gaming community, so this year, Globe geared up to back eGames’ initiatives to improve the gaming landscape in the country.
e-Games’ 2nd anniversary theme this year, DomiNation, is an actual replica of an online city. eGames wanted to make the virtual world a tangible nation where the gamers will experience what it is like to be in the games they play.
In the event, gamers got to physically enter the places they only saw on their monitors and they had the chance to meet the characters they actually play with. DomiNation was a neutral ground where a lot of different races and species live and interact. The only time they are allowed to face their differences are in battle arenas and online portals.
Aside from entering a virtual-turned-physical world, gamers were able to take advantage of free online gaming in the game booths and compete in online tournaments for all of the games.
The game booths in the venue are: Supreme Destiny, RAN Online, Audition, Granado Espada, O2 Jam, Cosplay, and eGames’ newest game, Cabal. There were other activities in the booths aside from the games, like trivia games and banner- making contests.
Performances by various artists also made the event lively. Globe Kantabataan runner-up Cosmic Euphoria performed with other artists like Mocha, Imago, Iwa Moto, Sex Bomb Dancers, Rivermaya, and Sugarfree.
During the event, Globe also set up a booth and announced its newest offer, the Globe Broadband Laptop Bundle. This bundle includes Internet connection, a landline service, and the handy Asus EeePC for as low as R1,495 per month.
