The Aglipayans of the San Isidro Labrador Parish in Barangay Napindan, Taguig City have lauded the accomplishments of their parish priest, Rev. Fr. Renato Silvestre Jr.
They said their priest has satisfactorily served and maintained the motto of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, "Pro Deo et Patria " and they are thankful for the coming of a priest whom they described as endowed with remarkable intellectual ability and leadership.
They feel blessed and grateful being served by Fr. Silvestre who in keeping with the mission of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente has been involved together with his family in a number of projects that inspire them as a congregation of men and women who work towards development and progress.
In a letter to Bishop Joselito Cruz, the Diocesan Bishop of Rizal and Pampanga, they noted the unfinished project that they said only Fr. Silvestere can complete. They also said that they feel secure under the guidance of Fr. Silvestre.
In last May 15 feast day of San Isidro Labrador, the farmers’ patron saint, the faithful of San Isidro Labrador parish also celebrated their granted petition for retention of Fr. Silvestre and for this reason they support his continued stay as parish priest, noting that Fr. Silvestre has earned the respect of the local officials and the whole community.
