The Philippine version of the hit U.S TV show, "Project Runway" aims to discover talented local designers and support them in creating their own name in the Philippine fashion industry.

Solar Entertainment, the show’s producer, gathered fourteen aspiring designers that will compete in a series of interesting and creative challenges all designed to bring out the best that they have to offer.

The contestants — each with various fashion backgrounds and credentials – will give it their all in order to be Philippine fashion’s next design icon, and help them build their own fashion empire with the P500, 000 cash prize that goes with it.

Competing to be Philippine fashion’s next design icon are Aries Lagat, Ava Paguyo, Bo Parcon, Charette Regala, Eli Gonzales, Ivan Raborar, Jaz Cezero, Loida Hunter, Lord Maturan, Lorymer Villareal, Mara Reyes, Phillip Tampus, Veejay Floresca and Winnie Chan.

Guiding the viewers as host will be model and actress Teresa Herrera, while mentoring the designers will be notable fashion designer Jojie Lloren.

Two icons of Philippine fashion will serve as judges.

Apples Aberin-Sadhwani, former PMAP president and a noted fashion columnist and editor brings her experience and keen eye for fashion to "Project Runway Philippines."

Joining Apples will be one of the nation’s most in-demand fashion designers in Rajo Laurel. Having designed for many of the Philippines top personalities, Rajo’s sharp wit and expertise will greatly benefit not only the contestants but viewers as well.

Expect nothing less than the best when this highly anticipated local adaptation airs every Wednesday, 10 p.m. starting today, July 23!
