The global successes of "Betty La Fea" and America’s "Ugly Betty" are enough to ignite the excitement of Filipino televiewers in ABS-CBN’s own adaptation of the popular series entitled "I Love Betty la Fea," directed by Erik Salud and Don Cuaresma.

From the moment the Kapamilya network announced that it was bringing to the boob tube the country’s version of "Betty La Fea," anticipation and excitement were high. From the audition that brought out a number of talented beautiful actresses from the network to vie for the coveted role of Betty to narrowing it to the final cast, the whole process of creating "I Love Betty la Fea" was deemed as an exciting event on television.

Who wouldn’t forget the guessing game the entertainment press played on their reports as to who bagged the coveted roles of Betty and Armando?

When the role landed on actress Bea Alonzo, she didn’t have any qualms about playing the ‘aesthetically challenged’ Betty Pengson, a smart and kind-hearted secretary in the advertising agency Eco Moda Manila.

As for John Lloyd Cruz, after declaring that he would try out other leading ladies like Sarah Geronimo in their box office hit movie "A Very Special Love" surprised everyone when he agreed to play Armando Solis, the playboy boss of Betty and president of Eco Moda.

Playing the beautiful and fashionista antagonist to both Armando and Betty is Ruffa Gutierrez, the ambitious ex-model Daniella Valencia.

Also in the cast are Vhong Navarro as Nicolas Mora, Betty’s best friend, Rolando Valdez as Hermes Pengson, AiAi delas Alas as Julia Pengson and Sam Concepcion. Megan Young plays the younger sister of Daniela who falls in love with Armando.

Playing the other secretaries in Eco Moda Manila that would spice up the life of Betty are Patricia Suarez portrayed by Wendy Valdez and Maria Rose Sanchez by Meryll Soriano and Kylie Torres by Sheryn Regis.

Other than the all-star cast of "I Love Betty la Fea" what has excited televiewers is the Eco Moda Manila office where the love, drama, travails and even the triumphs of Betty Pengson will happen. The whole multi-million-peso structure is built on the 11th floor of the ELJC Building of ABS-CBN.

As the photos in this article would show, its interior is a mix of modern and contemporary designs which live up to its name as the number one advertising agency in the said series.

More of Eco Moda Manila and Betty as "I Love Betty la Fea" starts airing on Monday, Sept. 8. So, are you ready to be "Betty-ful?"
