But at the rate of the team’s efforts, it has already surpassed its target to double as the DVI experts and a representative from the International Commission on Missing Persons as well as the Philippine authorities continue to work round the clock to ensure the accurate identifications of the victims with the objective of reuniting the remains with their immediate families as soon as possible.
Families of typhoon victims who have yet to give DNA samples to the DVI-IRT forensic experts are urged to call (032) 416-5025 or (032) 253-8730 for information on the DNA testing process. These telephone lines will be manned from 8 a.m.–12 noon and 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday. (PIA)
