It’s Christmas at the Cove
First timers to Pico de Loro Cove may be pleasantly surprised to note that the route to this charming escape entails a drive through a tunnel that cuts through the mountains. But minutes later, emerging from beneath the earth, the view of the tranquil sea and the laid back beach is revealed, making the road trip so worth it.
Now, summers at this resort conjure images of gaeity, laughter, and fun-filled bonding under the sun with family and friends. Would it have the same joyful atmosphere during the Christmas holidays?
The answer is a resounding “Yes!”.
The Christmas activities were jumpstarted by the two-day Pico County Fair, which featured an eclectic selection of holiday gift items like clothing, beach accessories, handicrafts, fresh produce, and food products.
Come sunset, members and guests trooped to Pico Beach, and there right on the sand, the Tree Lighting Ceremony was led by Ms. Elizabeth T. Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation and Mr. August Samala, General Manager of Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club and Pico Sands Hotel. While enjoying cocktails, the Christmas spirit flowed as the Canossa Glee Club serenaded one and all with cheery Christmas carols. A barbecue buffet dinner followed at the Reef Bar, where more music courtesy of “The Voice, Philippines” finalists Junji Arias and Dan Billano filled the air. After dinner, DJ Brian Abat set the tone for partying at the al fresco Brisa Bar.
