K-Pop Idol search to be launched soon
A talent search called “K-Pop Idol Search (KIS) – Pinoy Edition” will soon be launched by the People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTV 4), the HBKOR, Inc. along with several partners.
The contest is aimed at discovering and developing world-class Filipino artists and bring them to the world stage.
It is open to 14-35-year-old Filipinos who love to sing and dance but without an existing management and recording contract, whether locally or internationally.
Among prizes is a six-month intensive training in South Korea and a five-year exclusive performing contract.
Preliminaries will be held from April to Aug. 31, 2014.
According to HBKOR, Inc. President and PTV 4 Consultant Kim Jung-Su, “KIS-Pinoy Edition is a competition that integrates the ultimate artistic expression of body and voice to convey excellence in singing and dancing as required of a total stage performer.”
For his part, PTV 4 General Manager Cleo Dongga-as said that the search will be of great help to young Filipino talents who dream of world-class success.
Those interested should create audition videos and submit it personally to the HBKOR Secretariat who will be touring around the country. Locations and dates are to be found at www.kispinoy.com.
Five winners will be declared at the end of the search, with the grand champ receiving P1-million as cash prize.
