‘Let’s Ask Pilipinas,’ Aga Muhlach’s first game show starts today
For the first time, Aga Muhlach is hosting a game show and he’s understandably excited, especially so because viewers can play it in the comfort of their homes while getting the chance to win as much as P500,000. Titled “Let’s Ask Pilipinas,” a franchise of the US hit “Let’s Ask America,” the interactive game show airs daily on TV5 from Monday to Friday at 7 p.m. starting today, Oct. 14.
“It’s my first time na lalabas ako sa TV daily, at sa primetime pa… 44 years na ako at haping-happy na ako sa buhay ko but lalabas ako sa comfort zone ko, but why not? Hindi pa naman ako matanda,” Aga said at the recent launch of the game show.
“Let’s Ask Pilipinas” takes advantage of the accessibility and convenience of the Internet, as contestants get to play via video conference call using their computers and laptops. Playing the game is also very simple and does not require any specific expertise or knowledge. Every episode, four contestants will try to correctly predict what a majority of Pinoy respondents have answered to questions on various day-to-day situations.
The game has three rounds and, by the end of each round, the contestant with the lowest cash total is eliminated. If there’s a tie at the end of three rounds, the two remaining players will be playing the “Agad Agad” round where Aga will ask the contestants to do a physical challenge to determine who will play the final round. In the jackpot round, the contestant can wager all or part of his winnings on the final question of the day. The player who chooses to wager all of his money can win up to P500,000 every day.
Any Filipino aged 18 years old and above can have a chance to play in “Let’s Ask Pilipinas” by logging on to www.tv5.com/show/letsaskpilipinas. They can register on the website and submit their photo and wait for the call from “Let’s Ask Pilipinas” staff.

Liang’s ‘May Minamahal’ Reaches Gold Label
It’s seldom that an album immediately reaches Gold Record status after its release, but Ronnie Liang’s “May Minamahal” attained that label in so short a time, even without a prior launch.
“It’s now going Platinum,” the singer-actor said during a recent luncheon meeting with some entertainment writers. A Gold Label record means it has already sold 7,500 copies.
“I am very thankful to Boss Vic (del Rosario) for his trust and confidence in my talent,” Ronnie said. The album features six songs – “Akala Mo,” “May Minamahal,” “Mangarap Ka,” “Beginning Today,” “Kaputol Ng Isang Awit” and “O Holy Night” – and six bonus tracks.
Middle of this month, Ronnie and actress Cristine Reyes will proceed to Hawaii for a two-day concert for the Filipino communities.
Could it be that Cristine will have Ronnie’s shoulders to cry on?
“No, no!” Ronnie said. “We are going there to work, entertain Filipino audiences. Nothing more than that.”
Well, Ronnie has a fiancée in New York, a non-showbiz woman with whom he has been engaged for the last four years. “I met her when Star Magic held a concert there. We do a lot of long-distance communications, thanks to present technology,” Ronnie added. “She was born in New York; she’s a Fil-Am.”
How beautiful is she? More beautiful than Cristine Reyes? Ronnie just nodded.
Ronnie is now doing – as the leading man – a movie being directed by Elwood Perez. But he is tight-lipped on how intensive his role is in terms of sexy scenes. He however mentioned that the title is “Object of Desire.”
“We will just keep you in suspense,” he reiterated. “Go and see the movie and you will discover my exact role – whether I am playing a gay deeply in love or something else.”
Well, Ronnie, who has already appeared on some Kapamilya teleseryes, is an actor to watch.
