Liquor ban imposed on October 27, 28
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday has reminded the public of the liquor ban that will be imposed on October 27 and 28 in connection with the 2013 barangay polls.
“Starting 12:01 of October 27 until midnight of October 28, an election liquor ban will be implemented nationwide except in the Province of Bohol and in Zamboanga City,” Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said.
The ban, Jimenez said, covers the selling, offering, buying, serving, and taking of liquor.
Bohol and Zamboanga are not covered by the ban as elections in the two provinces have been postponed to November 25.
