Mayor Erap launches Miss Manila 2014
Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada launched the search for Miss Manila 2014 on Monday, May 12, at the Centennial Hall of the historic Manila Hotel.
The project is in collaboration with Viva Entertainment, Inc., headed by Vic Del Rosario.
The winner of the pageant, who will receive P1 million in cash and other attractive prizes, will be crowned on June 24 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, a highlight of this year’s celebration of Araw ng Maynila.
Proceeds of the tilt will benefit the Dialysis Center of MARE Foundation, Inc., a non-profit institution headed by former senator Dr. Luisa “Loi” Ejercito-Estrada.
It is recalled that when Mayor Erap was president, Dra. Loi put up a dialysis center in the vicinity of Malacañang Palace to benefit the poor. “But it isn’t there anymore,” lamented the former First Lady.
She hopes that this time, the Dialysis Center to be established by MARE Foundation will last.

ALWYN’S GOD-CENTERED RELATIONSHIP WITH JENNICA
Alwyn Uytingco and actress Jennica Garcia have been in a relationship for four years now, the success of which the former has always credited to God. He also says that, as a couple, they have always tapped on the Lord’s strength.
“Kumbaga ’yung flaws ninyo bilang tao mas maiintindihan ninyo. The more that you’ll be patient because you’ll be using the Lord’s patience. Patience na ni Lord ang hinuhugutan ninyo,” Alwyn explained.
He also wants his relationship with Jennica to be his last. “Oo siya na,” he declared.
His love for her is such that, when Jennica’s contract with GMA-7 was not renewed, his support had proven to be a “healing potion” for her.
Alwyn, on the other hand, is said to be renewing his contract with TV5 very soon.
“Beki Boxer,” his starrer on TV5, is doing well. He is also a mainstay of the network’s gag-show “Tropa Mo Ko Unli.” It is also reported that he was also cast on “Jasmine.”
Truly thankful for a steady career with the Kapatid Network, Alwyn – who is managed by Manny Valera – hopes to become a film director in the future.
