The people who were with Bea Rose Santiago in her journey towards winning the Miss International 2013 crown have enumerated the traits that served her well.

“Kitang-kita kasi ’yung angkin (niyang) poised elegance. Grabe,” Bea’s trainor Rodgil Flores told “Unang Hirit.”

Santiago, who bested 67 other candidates in Japan where the pageant was held, was driven to victory, Rodgil added.

“Talagang gustung-gusto niya talagang manalo for the Philippines kasi ’yung sinasabi niyang pa-Christmas after what happened (sa Visayas area). Pero that night hindi nag-register ’yung pressure sa kanya, kalma lang tapos talagang iba ’yung nira-radiate niyang aura,” said the trainor.

Bea’s makeup artist, Gion Flores, noted how Bea “look(ed) radiantly beautiful that night.”

“She has this (light) aura; talagang nag-e-exude sa kanya ’yun eh. ’Yun ’yung nagbigay talaga sa kanya ng edge; siya ’yung lumabas na pinakamaganda sa lahat,” he said.

Beauty pageant expert Jay Patao credited Bea’s victory as a “result of her focus nung nagte-training siya; her eagerness to prepare for the pageant. She wanted to deliver the goods and she did.”

Meanwhile, Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz said she wasn’t surprised over Bea’s victory.

“Sabi namin, ‘Oh my God, mananalo si Bea this year sa Miss International.’ And then we saw her again at the party, kasi we belong to the same group – The Rodgil Flores Group, Kagandahang Flores – and sabi namin talaga sa kanya,’ Bea mananalo ka this year, i-claim mo na ’yan,’” Precious said in a phone interview.

Congratulations to the newly crowned MISS INTERNATIONAL 2013 BEA ROSE SANTIAGO! We are so happy and proud of you! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Mabuhay ang Pilipino! Now the Philippines already have complete winners in the Miss Universe, Earth, World, Globe, International contests, etc.

Now it’s about time for the Philippines to capture the global / world crowns & titles too in the MRS. CATEGORY (the MISS counterparts) namely: MRS. UNIVERSE, MRS. EARTH, MRS. WORLD, MRS. GLOBE, and MRS. INTERNATIONAL!

It’s also interesting to know these married, mature beauty queens as they are already much accomplished in their lives (in personal, career, family matters, etc.).

So far, for the record, in 2009, the Philippines had the Mrs. Universe 2nd Runner-up Placer, Camilla Kim-Galvez (highlight, right click & google search her name) and in 2010, the remarkable win of Engr. Muriel Moral-Pandi of the first-ever-awarded ‘Intelligence Title’ in the Universe (highlight, right click & google search her name).
