Miss Int’l 2013 Bea Santiago’s winning auraThe people who were with Bea Rose Santiago in her journey towards winning the Miss International 2013 crown have enumerated the traits that served her well.
“Kitang-kita kasi ’yung angkin (niyang) poised elegance. Grabe,” Bea’s trainor Rodgil Flores told “Unang Hirit.”
Santiago, who bested 67 other candidates in Japan where the pageant was held, was driven to victory, Rodgil added.
“Talagang gustung-gusto niya talagang manalo for the Philippines kasi ’yung sinasabi niyang pa-Christmas after what happened (sa Visayas area). Pero that night hindi nag-register ’yung pressure sa kanya, kalma lang tapos talagang iba ’yung nira-radiate niyang aura,” said the trainor.
Bea’s makeup artist, Gion Flores, noted how Bea “look(ed) radiantly beautiful that night.”
“She has this (light) aura; talagang nag-e-exude sa kanya ’yun eh. ’Yun ’yung nagbigay talaga sa kanya ng edge; siya ’yung lumabas na pinakamaganda sa lahat,” he said.
Beauty pageant expert Jay Patao credited Bea’s victory as a “result of her focus nung nagte-training siya; her eagerness to prepare for the pageant. She wanted to deliver the goods and she did.”
Meanwhile, Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz said she wasn’t surprised over Bea’s victory.
“Sabi namin, ‘Oh my God, mananalo si Bea this year sa Miss International.’ And then we saw her again at the party, kasi we belong to the same group – The Rodgil Flores Group, Kagandahang Flores – and sabi namin talaga sa kanya,’ Bea mananalo ka this year, i-claim mo na ’yan,’” Precious said in a phone interview.
