FLORITA OUT BUT EFFECTS REMAIN

Typhoon ‘Florita’ (international name ‘Neoguri’) has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) but will continue to induce monsoon rains over the western section of the country. Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster Chris Perez said Florita moved outside the PAR at around 8 a.m. Tuesday. While Florita left the country’s vicinity, it will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, which will bring moderate to occasional heavy rains and thunderstorms over the provinces of Palawan, Mindoro, Cavite, Batangas, Zambales, and Bataan. Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, and the rest of Luzon and will have occasional rains. Meanwhile, Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
