CALAX Bidding To Be Postponed

The government has decided to postpone the submission of bids for Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) project scheduled next month. Public Private Partnership (PPP) Center executive director Cosette Canilao said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is intending to postpone the deadline of bid submission on April 21. “There are requests from bidders for more time so the DPWH is deliberating on pushing back the bid submission (deadline),” she said. Canilao said government accommodated the request since the bidders for the CALAX project are the same participants in the bidding of other major PPP projects. (Kris Bayos)

Grand Lotto Pot To Reach P152M

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) yesterday said no one hit the winning numbers combination of 47-02-50-43-20-51 of the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw last Wednesday which carried a jackpot of P142.3 million. However, nine bettors matched at least five of the winning numbers to earn P200,000 each, said PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II. The PCSO projects the jackpot for this Saturday’s Grand Lotto 6/55 draw to reach P152 million. The 6/55 jackpot started on Jan. 22 with the P30 million minimum guaranteed jackpot (MGJ) and will continue to rise until a winner is declared. (Edd K. Usman)
