191,542 elementary grads to march in Central Luzon
SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga – When the school year 2008-2009 ends late this month, approximately 191,542 pupils will graduate from public elementary schools in Central Luzon.
This was announced recently by Department of Education (DepEd) region 3 director Mario L. Ramirez, who noted that male graduating grade school children total 98,202, slightly outnumbering their 93,340 female counterparts.
Ramirez said that of the 17 provincial and city schools divisions in the region, Bulacan recorded the biggest number of expected Grade 6 graduates at 38,691 followed by Pampanga with 33,533.
Ramirez said the other Central Luzon school divisions and their respective number of expected graduates are Nueva Ecija, 21,161; Tarlac, 18,900; Bataan, 12,324; Zambales, 10,528; San Jose del Monte City, 8,164; Tarlac City, 6,397; Angeles City, 6,357; Cbanatuan City, 4,865; San Fernando City, 4,625; Aurora, 4,443; Olonapo City, 4,326; Malolos City, 3,524; Gapan City, 2,237; Balanga City, 1,792, and Munoz Science City, 1,680.
