Thanks to the hit TV series Gossip Girl, headbands are back. From preppy to boho luxe, there’s one style that would surely fit your personality. Leighton Meester’s character, Blair Wardolf, is never seen without them and has created quite a following, thanks to Jennifer Behr who is behind these gorgeous headpieces.

Celebrities have joined in on the trend, and so have designers Behnaz Sarafpour and Diane von Furstenberg. Behr’s creations were showcased at Sarafpour’s and Furstenberg’s Spring-Summer ’09 collection, with little flowers and braided fabrics cascading down from the crown and methodically-placed floral headbands worn on sleek hair, respectively.

Taking cue from these floral fairies, and inspired by Blair’s floral headpiece, which she wore at her best friend Serena’s mom’s wedding in Season 1 Episode 18, a talented local group of designers called Matthew&Melka recently launched a limited collection of floral headpieces, and posted their third batch of lovingly handcrafted laurels online. They have received an overwhelming flood of orders and reservations.

Great timing actually, as these pretty, delicate blooms will make any young lady stand out at their proms and graduation balls. A flora of orchids, dahlias, calla lilies, and all-time favorite roses made from imported silk were used to make these special bouquets of foliage to give you and your date a dreamy night to remember.
