LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu – Citing his vital role in the historic Peoples Power Revolution in 1986, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile has been invited to be the guest of honor and speaker during the 16th Commencement Exercises of the Mactan-based Indiana Aerospace University (IAU) on March 21.

During the event, Enrile will be given the Aestimationis Declaratio Communis plaque in recognition for his role in the historic People Power Revolution in 1986 which was fully supported by the Catholic Church, said IAU founder and president Dr. Jovenal Toring. Enrile will also witness the launching of the new batch of scholars of the Ricardo Cardinal Vidal Scholarship

Program, a joint project of the Cardinal and the IAU for poor but deserving students. Founded in April 1992, IAU has become the favorite source of personnel for foreign airlines and aircraft companies,
hotel chains and technical schools all over the world. IAU graduates fill in the need of these companies for pilots, aerospace engineers, flight attendants, aircraft maintenance technologists,
hotel and tourism managers, and global oriented teachers, said Toring. The school sits on a 15-hectare mixed-use commercial and residential complex in Barangay Basak, in this city.
