CEBU CITY – The Central Command (Centcom) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is now checking the list of the Order of Battle (OB) in their units after a militant leader here filed a petition for Habeas Data to produce the alleged documents that allegedly included him in the OB. Paul Rodriguez, regional chairman of the militant group Bagong Alyansang Makabayan, recently filed a petition before the Regional Trial Court to force the military and police officials to produce the alleged documents that were made as basis for his inclusion in the OB.

Meanwhile, Maj. Christopher Tampus, Centcom spokesperson, said that in the meantime, they could not verify if Rodriguez was really in the OB as they are still checking the necessary data. Tampus also said that the OB is a classified document so they can not simply reveal it to the public not unless it is ordered by the commanding general. “We are still checking on the order to verify the complainant’s allegations,” he said. Tampus added that as of press time, they still do not have the copy of the petition to check on the charges that Rodriguez has filed against Centcom.
