LAOAG CITY — A 31-year-old woman, who gave birth four days ago, was killed instantly when a gunman shot her in her house at Barangay 12, San Isidro, this city last Thursday, police said. Probers assigned by Supt. Sterling Blanco, city police chief, said the assailant, armed with a caliber .45 pistol, barged in and shot the victim, identified as Edna Cacactin. The killer fled, riding an orange Honda Wave motorcycle. “Buti na lang hindi tinamaan ng bala yong baby niya na nasa loob din ng bahay,” a witness said. Investigators said they are looking into the love angle as motive in the killing.
