Cebu City (PNA) – A senior official of the Department of Education (DepEd) 7 said schools in the region performed well in the closing school year.

“Based on the activities that were implemented and the general performance, everything was done well,” said DepEd 7 Director Recaredo Borgonia.

Borgonia said DepEd 7 is still waiting for the results of the National Achievement Test to determine the region’s general academic standing, but the initial assessment is that schools in the region performed “very well” based on their activities.

In Central Visayas, the Brigada Eskwela program saw a 100 percent participation rate, with Canayaon Elementary School, Talisay City Central Elementary School, Bais City Pilot Elementary School, Candaping Natonal High School and Sierra Bullones National High School among the national awardees as “best implementers.”
