ParaƱaque BFP gets firefighting gear
In a bid to boost Parañaque’s firefighting capabilities, the city government donated new firefighting gears and equipment to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Mayor Florencio “Jun” Bernabe Jr. said Saturday that some 44 new sets of bunker coats (firefighting suit), fireman’s helmets, fire trousers, gloves and boots have been turned over to the Parañaque BFP.
The local BFP also received 50 brand-new hoses and nozzles for their fire trucks, Bernabe said.
Moreover, the BFP branch got six new base transceivers and six handheld radios to have a faster and effective communication system in calling for additional back-up in a fire scene.
“We have a strong resolve to continuously improve the capability of our fire department as we are determined to ensure their safety, hence these donations,” said the mayor.
