Dapitan City – Former Zamboanga del Norte Rep. Romeo G. Jalosjos has injected some P3.2 billion in investment fund for the construction of a theme park and a beach resort hotel in this city.

It was gathered that of the amount, P2 billion have been used for the construction of a theme park, which will open on May 29, while the construction of a 12-storey hotel worth P1.2 billion will be in the last quarter of this year.

Jalosjos said the construction of the 12-storey hotel with 360 rooms will start during the last quarter of this year and will be named Casa Real Hotel in honor of the house of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.

Jalosjos said the theme park, which is named “Gloria’s Fantasyland,” is located next to the Gloria de Dapitan entertainment complex and features “interactive rides.”

He said the theme park will be the “Disneyland of the Philippines,” but will be for the less privileged for them to experience the amenities without having to go to Hong Kong, Japan or the United States.

He said the fantasyland features brand new imported rides, like the giant roller coaster, mini train, choco cup ride, midi flume ride, carousel, Apollo, bumper car rides, horror house, and swinger.
