Since Sen. Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez admitted that they were planning to tie the knot, Kris Aquino has always promised her viewers on “SNN” and “The Buzz” a sit-down interview with the couple. For days now, Kris expected to deliver the details having been the first to interview the couple during the early stages of their relationship when Kris was still hosting a show with Korina.

A few days ago on “Wowowee,” the couple revealed the details Kris was hoping to deliver to the audience first.

At the press conference of ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Bingo Night” last Tuesday night, Kris became emotional when asked about how she felt about the whole thing because she was promised a sit-down interview with the couple.

She related, “Partly, kay Boy [Abunda] ako napahiya. Kasi, hindi naman sikreto na si Boy, from the first [Manny] Villar campaign, was there, ’di ba? Tapos, pinakiusap ko itong story. In your line of work, alam n’yo ’yon, if it’s an exclusive, aalagaan mo. Puwedeng humingi ng concession sa ’yo na pang-alaga, gagawin mo, ’di ba?”   

Kris said she had to discuss things about the coverage with co-host Boy Abunda. “Hiningi ko ito kay Boy. Sabi ko, come election time, you can choose who you want, pero can you do this with me for the next few weeks? Boy agreed kasi ganu’n kami.”   

She added, “The sit-down was supposed to be una sa ‘Buzz’ or sa ‘Rated K,’ hindi pa sure, pinagdedebatehan pa. And then, may series na prinamis sa akin. Na ako, sinabi ko kay Boy, let’s protect this exclusive. And let’s give them the concession, ’di ba? And then, nangyari ’yung sa “Wowowee.” Alam ko, hindi nila kasalanan, hindi nila ginusto. Pero napahiya talaga ako. Kasi, ako ’yung nakiusap.”   

However, Kris recognized that Korina and Mar were not in control of the situation. “The night before, they were texting me na may ‘Wowowee’ and because nga, it’s free-wheeling, hindi mo alam kung ano ang mangyayari. And if it’s okay daw. Alangan namang sabihin ko, don’t. Eh, ’di si Willie Revillame pa ang nagalit sa akin, eh, okay naman kami ni Willie, wala kaming problema.”   

Kris stressed, “Ang point lang is, alam na nila, Wednesday kasi, hinihingan ako ng VTR for them para sa ‘Wowowee,’ we could have preempted our entire Friday for them, para lang ’yung sit-down was ours. Sana, hinati. Eh, wala, eh. Yung sa amin lang talaga, limang linggo ’yon na inaalagaan mo. Nu’ng sinabing hold muna because of what happened to Ted, nag-hold ka. On my end lang, everything, tinupad namin. Naiyak lang ako kasi parang ako ’yung naiipit.”   

It became a big deal, Kris revealed. “Kasi umabot pa ito sa punto na pati sina Mr. M [Johnny Manahan] nag-e-explain. Sabi ko, wala. It was the sit-down interview. Kasi, sa akin prinamis, eh. And then I said it. I was honest enough to say na I felt we were used, and then, discarded. Honestly, it’s the kahihiyan kay Boy. ’Yun ’yung totoo talaga. Nahiya ako na akala ko made-deliver ko for him, hindi ko na-deliver. So, napahiya lang ako. And ’yung situation is, ayokong mag-away kami ni Boy.”

Kris said she was touched by the couple gesture of apology when Korina and Mar sent her six flower arrangements with a letter last Monday but she hasn’t replied to them yet. Ironically, it’s Korina’s ex-boyfriend Sen. Noynoy Aquino who’s been telling Kris to respond to Korina and Mar.

Sharon makes fun of herself in new movie

Sharon Cuneta explored her funny side to the fullest in “BFF,” her latest Star Cinema starrer opposite Ai Ai de las Alas. 

Sharon said at the movie’s press conference, “Naiisip ko, ano ba ang makukuha kong blessing dito? Tapos, sinasabi nila Direk, ‘Nakakatawa ka! Sa rushes, ganyan-ganyan...’ Kaya, sabi ko, ngayon lang yata ako nakakakita ng blessing na sa side ko, ngayon lang makikita ko. Yung nakikita n’yo po sa trailer, walang-wala pa yun sa na-shoot namin. I made fun of myself and I allowed them to make fun of me.”

Megastar vows to get her ideal weight

Still on Sharon Cuneta… The Megastar is trying to lose weight for her next movie, a supposed romance flick reuniting her with Richard Gomez. “Yung love story ko, I want to look the best I’ll ever look. I want to look the best. I want to be my healthiest this year. I want to be best-looking in terms of my look and feel good as well, and that’s my promise to myself, and I want to do the love story this year.”

Sharon said she’s not in favor of going under knife to achieve her ideal weight. “Ay, naku, tapos na yung mga doctor, noon pa! Hindi naman tatalab kahit i-vacuum ang taba mo from your body, hindi ka rin magsa-succeed in losing weight or becoming sexy. Iba yung nalu-lose weight na tagtag. I will start talaga working out after the movie. Sa ngayon, wala kaming time. Lalo na ako, umuuwi pa ako sa Laguna dahil nga summer. Pero since I’ll be having my concert tour, parang gusto ko naman kayong gulatin na pag-uwi ko, mapayat na ako. So, I will start talaga working out. Siguro even when I’m abroad, sa mga gym sa hotel and I can eat naman little by little.”

After her movie with Richard, Sharon plans to pursue her dream movie with Vilma Santos. “Yan naman talaga ang dream ko! I think, all actors, all actresses, we all have dreams, e, as to who we wanna work with. And I think, it’s a common knowledge na Vilmanian ako and I was never treated in a bad way palagi. And I think, I learn a lot from her on how to be a good idol at yung pakikisama sa tao at pag-appreciate. I think, one of my ultimate dreams is to always work with Tito Dolphy. Isa sa dream ko, natupad na. Nakasama ko na si Ai and I always told her, before pa. Yung sa amin ni Ate Vi, probably will be a drama and by next year.”

Paolo Contis denies he’s living-in with Lian Paz

It is true that actor Paolo Contis has moved out of his parent’s home. But it does not mean that Paolo and his current girlfriend Lian Paz are living together.
The reason why Paolo moved out is because he has always intended to live a more independent lifestyle, he said.
