When Katrina Halili and Maricar Reyes got involved with Dr. Hayden Kho a few years ago, they probably had no hunch they would be famous for it someday.

No thanks to Kho’s enthusiasm in digital voyeurism—and one senator’s crusade to uphold women’s rights—the two are now among the hottest names in local show business.

For weeks now, both Halili and Reyes [and Kho himself] are among the “most searched” people in the ‘net; especially after a senate “inquiry” involving them alerted the nation on the existence of the doctor’s alleged “extensive library of sex videos.”

Critics were quick to predict the end of the duo’s career.

Some even said that Halili should go back to her native Palawan and find something else to do—believing that investors would shy away from any project that would involve her.

As for Reyes, who, prior to being involved in the sex video brouhaha had been enjoying notice—however mildly—being among network giant ABS-CBN’s newest and freshest talents, people also urged her to “return to private life.”

It looks like the pundits were wrong.

Halili is reportedly set to appear in an extensive feature for the popular magazine, Cosmopolitan-Philippines. The source was mum on the exact date.

Halili was already featured in the cover of the said glossy in June 2007.

In the interview that accompanied the feature, Halili described herself as “simple and shy.”

“Hindi man ako mukhang probinsyana, I can prove that I am. Years from now, my critics will see that I’m really a simple person.”

The actress is also rumored to be top choice to play the role of ‘Fedra’ in the Filipino adaptation of Mexican teleserye, “Rosalinda.”

Like Halili, Reyes had been reportedly tapped to appear on the cover of another trendy glossy.

The interview that accompanies the feature is said to be the first—and last—that Reyes will do since being identified as a participant in one of Kho’s videos.
