Last week, many people were shocked to receive malicious text messages declaring pop singer Sarah Geronimo, dead.

According to the text messages, the young singer died in a car accident.

Oddly enough, another text message had Sarah dying in her sleep.

Confusing as it was, it was nonetheless a disturbing piece of news that had people scrambling to know the truth.
 
The singer’s manager eventually cleared things up.

“No. She [Sarah] is alive and well. She is with me. We just did a concert in Dagupan.”

Geronimo wasn’t the only one rumored to be dead.

A barrage of text messages had embattled doctor, Hayden Kho, Jr., also supposedly dead.

The text message that circulated, read: “OMG! Hayden Kho is Dead! He Committed Suicide!”

All malicious text messages circulated right after Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson's death came out on the news.

The doctor’s lawyer Lorna Kapunan quickly denied the rumor, and even presented a text message from Kho that, shall we say, buried the issue.

The message read: “Yes, the old Hayden Kho is dead. The [new] Hayden Kho is reformed and is trying to be better.”

Kapunan said that she immediately called up Hayden upon getting wind of the hoax.
