Sexy actress Lara Morena has moved on from her dark days of intrigues and controversies, and is now focusing on work.

“Wala na munang lovelife, trabaho na lang muna,” she said in an interview.

Lara made the headlines a few years back after she was beaten up by her ex-boyfriend. Lara appeared on TV with bruises and cuts, and the violent incident almost ended up in court.

Nowadays, all that is water under the bridge. Lara is busy working on indie movies, one of which - “Panahon Na” - was shown in Boston, Massachusetts, USA recently.

The actress is finishing a short film titled, “5 Minutes,” an entry to the 14th Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea. She has two other projects, “A Journey Home” and “FLING.”

Lara said that “A Journey Home” (starring Toni Gonzaga, Joem Bascon, Soliman Cruz) is a family drama. She plays the role of Emmy, the secretary of Raffy (Joem Bascon) in the film.

“Naiyak ako when I read the script kasi may kurot sa puso. And it’s the first full-length project of Direk Paul Soriano (commercial director and boyfriend of Toni Gonzaga) so happy ako na nakasama ako sa movie,” she said.

On the other hand, “FLING” is a romantic comedy which she shot in Boracay with co-stars Rafael Rosell, Jacq Yu and Lance Raymundo.

When not busy with work, Lara spends time with her two kids, Millenn and Pao.

“We go to the mall, eat out and watch movies. I try to adjust to their activities. My daughter Millenn likes to watch romantic movies so sometimes we just spend the whole day watching DVDs. My son Pao likes to play computer games, so syempre, nakikilaro din ako.

“I’m enjoying my life now.”
