Will Coca-Cola’s Paul Asi Taulava win a second Most Valuable Player (MVP) award or will Kelly Williams of Sta. Lucia Realty become the first back-to-back winner of the coveted individual award?

There’s strong possibility that one of them will end up raising the fabulous trophy. But they can’t be too sure.

For one, there are five other contenders for the award, and they, like Taulava and Williams, have also impressive stats to back them up

Also in the hunt for that MVP trophy are playmaker Jayjay Helterbrand of Barangay Ginebra, versatile wingman Arwind Santos of Burger King and Talk ’N Text’s scoring machine Mark Cardona, two-time MVP Willie Miller of Alaska and ace guard Dondon Hontiveros of San Miguel Beer.

The MVP will be known Wednesday before the start of Game 5 of the PBA championship series at the Araneta Coliseum.

The league also pays tribute to the late Leo Prieto – the league's first commissioner.

The 6-foot-9 Taulava emerged as the Statistical Points leader with 32.14. He won his first MVP plum in back in 2003 when he was still with Talk ’N Text. Taulava was traded to Coke last season.
