Influential modern rock bands Wolfgang and Razorback return to the local recording scene via “Alive 2007.”

Although the 11 tracks in this CD were recorded live two years ago at the Music Museum, they remain vital to fans who want to relive defining moments in the bands’ history via their discographies.

“Alive 2007” served as a catalyst for the bands to release new materials. Wolfgang, for one, premiered their song “RP Death Squad” in this concert which led to their 2008 comeback studio album, “Villains.”

The CD also features the two bands performing together.

“It was more about playing on the stage as a unit; separate but still as one,” said Basti Artadi, Wolfgang lead vocalist.

The concert marked Francis Aquino’s first appearance as Wolfgang’s drummer. A track in “Alive 2007” features original Razorback drummer, Miguel Ortigas.

The enthusiasm for the concert was so strong that its repeat sold out even before the first one started.

Artadi said that two "Alive 2007" projects are in the works.

“We want to differentiate the materials here from those in the DVD. We took time to put in what we feel are some of the strongest, most rocking bits. It’s important that these things get done right.”
