Heartthrob Jericho Rosales has confirmed that he and ex-girlfriend Heart Evangelista have watched movies together a couple of times of late but only because they are on “speaking terms” again.

“Hindi pa kami super-dikit na ganun, but at least we're talking and that's good,” said Rosales in “Showbiz News Ngayon” on July 14.

Only last year, Evangelista vowed never to talk to Rosales again after divulging that they had broken up due to a so-called “third party.”

“I don’t want to talk to him or even see him again,” she said.

But time, it seems, does heal all wounds although Rosales finds the matter a bit awkward to talk about.

“Siyempre minsan, medyo nadyadyahe pa rin ako. Andami na din kasing nangyari [at] nasabi…the best thing about it is kapag nagkita kami, hindi kami nag-iiwasan,” he said.

Rosales emphasized that he and Heart aren’t back in each others arms as sweethearts, like what some people speculate.

“Walang ganun…walang tipong balikan.”

Still, the 30-year old actor is “hopeful” about their “new found friendship.”

“I’d like to think na may malaking tsansa na maayos na lahat…that we could eventually patch things up,” he said.

“But right now, cool na muna kami,” he said.

Evangelista, who recently broke up with a non-showbiz guy, is also downplaying the issue.

“Isa sa mga na-learn ko para sa sarili ko ay yung hindi natin dapat masyadong pinaplano yung buhay natin,” she said.

“Basta masaya ako ngayon sa kinatatayuan ko, sa personal life ko…okay ako.”
