Known as one of showbiz industry’s hardest working women, TV host-actress Kris Aquino nevertheless announced that she will skip work if she must, to be with her cancer-stricken mother, former President Cory Aquino.

Kris’ current TV shows are “Pinoy Bingo Night” and “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.” She had just released an album and is still one of the country’s top product endorsers.

She had recently let go of starring in a Metro Manila Film Festival entry for ABS-CBN's Star Cinema because of the foregoing reason.

Speaking tearfully in her showbiz-oriented show "The Buzz" on July 19, Kris asked fans to pray harder for her mom whom she said is in “pain” at “these very difficult times.”

“Please pray for her na sana ma-lessen [ang pain]. Kasi, ang hirap-hirap po talaga makita na nahihirapan siya. And it’s been so hard,” she said.

Kris added: “I’m only sharing this with you because you’ve been in this journey with us. Kung ilang oras, ilang araw, ilang lingo, ilang buwan pa ang ibibigay ni God, sana po tulungan n’yo kami magdasal na huwag na lalo pang mahirapan ang mom.”

“Kasi talagang nakakadurog po ng puso kapag nakikita siyang hirap na hirap.”

“I'm being honest po, hindi ko na kayang maging strong. And whatever time is left, I wanna be there beside my mom.”
