Roxanne denies rift with John Estrada

July 21, 2009, 3:45pm

Roxanne Guinoo denied she had a row with co-star John Estrada who plays as her love interest in a sitcom on TV5 called “Everybody Happy.”

Reports alleged that Roxanne took it from John when the actress showed up late for taping. “Hindi naman naging big deal yung nangyari. Okay po kami [ni John]; wala naman po kaming problema.”

Roxanne also clarified the reason how come she dropped out of “Bud Brothers.” Seemingly offended of alleged reports saying she was kicked out of the TV show, Roxanne said not everything written about her is true.

She explained that she agreed to be part of the show provided there would be no daring scenes but when the script came, it included some sensitive scenes she did not approve of. This made her back out.

Kris goes through a most difficult time

Kris Aquino greeted “The Buzz” last Sunday with a sad face that co-host Ruffa Gutuerrez noticed at the start of the show. Kris said she “is” sad.

Later, the talk show host became emotional about the state of health of her mother former President Cory Aquino.

Kris admitted, “Ito na yung pinakamahirap na time for all of us and for her. She’s in pain already. So, please pray for her na sana ma-lessen. Kasi, ang hirap-hirap po talagang makita na nahihirapan siya. And it’s been so hard.”

Earlier on the show, the hosts (Kris, Ruffa and Boy Abunda) discussed alleged awkward reaction Sarah Geronimo showed beside John Lloyd Cruz on “ASAP” two weeks ago. Ruffa opined that celebrities owe it to the public to give them what they expect, to which Kris contradicted that sometimes, the public appreciates real reactions.

Later on the show, Kris said, “It’s been a month sa ospital, and nagtatrabaho ka, Ruffa said na, ‘You owe it to the public to give them entertainment.’ Pero mahirap pong mag-entertain talaga kapag basag na basag na yung puso mo.”

Kris said that because she wanted to be by her mother’s side, she might not be able to fulfill her daily duties on TV. “In the next few days po, I might be at work, I might not be at work. Sana po maintindihan n’yo na these are very difficult times. Ayoko pong magkaroon ng regrets na ba’t ako pumasok sa trabaho when I could have been in the hospital. In behalf of the family, thank you to everybody na inunawa kami, ipinagdasal ang mom. Pero sana ho naiintindihan n’yo rin kami na kung ano na lang ang oras na natitira ay I would want to be there beside my mom. So, kung may nights po sa ‘SNN’ na wala ako dun, kesyo kung anu-ano pa ang isipin n’yo, sa akin na po nanggagaling na I want to be there with her.”

Box-office pair splitting-up?

John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo’s tandem will have to take a break for a while, as John Lloyd-Bea pair will join anew for their latest movie slated later this year or early next year.

JL confirmed this to Juicy Corner in the recent press launch of his endorsement with Sarah Geronimo for Lucky Me pancit canton. “Hindi ko alam ang exact date basta dapat siyang mangyari late this year,” he said.

For JL, a love team is just a “pairing.” “Gusto ko sa career ko iba-iba din ang ka-love team o ka-pair, hindi lang para sa growth ko as an actor, but as a person,” he explained.

Sarah on the other hand, aired her views on love team. “Mentality kasi ng tao, akala kapag ka-love team ang isang tao e sila na din sa totoong buhay.”

Being the talk of the town lately when her name came up as the reason behind the John Lloyd-Liz Uy break-up, Sarah confessed of being affected. And to this, she has to say, “Hindi kami robot na pwedeng turuan sa anong dapat gawin o kung sino ang dapat pakisamahan. Understand din sana if kontra yung nakikita nila [sa amin ni John Lloyd] sa fantasy nila. May limitation din kami.” To which JL also commented, “Sana bigyan kami ng chance na marinig muna ang explanation. People kasi jump into conclusion [right away]. Meron din kaming sariling damdamin.”

The two just recently settled the “gap” between them with their newest endorsement. It was reported that Sarah became aloof with John Lloyd because of all the issues circling them.
