Kiko, Sharon no objection on KC and Piolo’s 'closeness'
Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan sees nothing wrong if Piolo Pascual is indeed courting her daughter KC Concepcion.
“Well, I think it’s all up to KC... Whoever she wants to be with...it’s up to her. What’s important for me is that...whoever the person might be...that he should respect her as a woman…respect her family...that’s it. The most important thing is love and respect,” he said during an interview aired in “Showbiz News Ngayon.”
Pangilinan’s wife, megastar Sharon Cuneta, who was with the senator during the interview, echoed the same. She even said Piolo is “good” for her daughter.
“I like the fact that he is a Christian...and he’s very prayerful. I’m never anxious whenever they’re together. I’m always secure...and yeah, happy.”
Still, Pangilinan has a stern warning for their potential “son-in-law.”
“Just this...they should beware...if they make a mistake...I’ll make them appear at the Senate to explain,” he said with a smile.
As for Sharon, she’s hoping that if the marriage doesn’t work out, then her daughter will be “returned” to her.
“For god’s sake...if you have a problem with my daughter...any of my daughters... please don’t hurt them, don’t say anything bad against them...just give them back to us,” she emphasized.
This elicited a reaction from KC, who was listening in to the interview.
“Mom, they might misconstrue this...I’m not talking about marriage...I’m not thinking about it... I’m not even there yet. Maybe in five years,” she said, laughing.
