Director Rowell Santiago has forgiven his driver who used his car without permission.

Rowell’s driver Rogelio Sabanal was arrested two weeks ago after the director complained that his Toyota car was missing. Sabanal was charged with qualified theft.

While in jail, Sabanal was profusely apologetic to the director.

“Patawarin ninyo ako boss,” Sabanal pleaded. “Wala po akong intensyon na masama sa sasakyan. Dala lang po ng epekto ng alak. Patawad, boss, ako lang ang inaasahan ng anak ko, maliit pa po [sila]. Sana po patawarin ninyo ako, boss.”

When interviewed by a “Showbiz News Ngayon” reporter, Rowell said that he already forgave Sabanal.

“Ah, wala na, wala na,” he said referring to the qualified theft case that he filed against his errant driver. Sabanal is now released from jail.

Rowell said he only had Sabanal arrested to teach him a lesson.
