Actress Meryl Soriano dedicates her performance in the forthcoming Asianovela “Miss No Good” to the memory of her grandmother who passed away on July 19.

“Regalo ko 'to sa kanya kasi mahilig siya sa mga chinovela at koreanovela. Sayang lang at 'di umabot,” she said in a taped interview aired in “Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Meryl’s grandmother, Rosalinda Martinez, 65, died at St. Luke’s Hospital on July 19 from pulmonary embolism leading to cardiac arrest.

Martinez is the mother of Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

“Di pa din namin maintindihan up to now…pero ang iniisip na lang namin ay dapat kaming maging masaya kasi she’s resting now,” said Meryl.

“Miss No Good” is a Taiwanese drama starring Rainie Yang and Wilber Pan. Meryl will be dubbing Rainie’s lines in Filipino for airing on ABS-CBN.

“Di ako nahirapan na sakyan yung character ng bida sa ‘Miss No Good.’ When I saw her, sabi ko, ‘Ay, ako yan!’ Kasi pareho kami ng energy level, kikay,” she said.

Meryl is also dubbing for the cartoon version of “Les Miserables.”

The actress has a son named Elijah with actor Bernard Palanca.
