Dingdong seen on ABS-CBN grounds

Dingdong Dantes brushed off rumors that he might be mulling a network shift but was seen around the ABS-CBN compound because he was taping for MYX, Channel 2’s music network.
“Magiging guest VJ ako ng MYX for two weeks. Then, in a way, makakapag-introduce din ako ng ibang songs, masasabi ko sa kanila kung ano ang latest and, at the same time, natututo rin naman ako kung ano ang mga bagong kanta ngayon.”
Guesting for MYX is obviously part of Dingdong’s album (“The Dingdong Dantes Experience”) promotion. “Maganda lang din na nagkaroon ng opportunity to do this for MYX. Para mas malawak din ang masakop at makaalam tungkol dito sa album na ito.”
He added, “Never ko namang naisip dati na makakapag-MYX ako, and then, naging posible siya. Pero sa ngayon, talagang ano, e, that happened only because of the promotion of the album. At bukod dun, I’m very much happy with GMA and I don’t want to create any misleading moves.”
Good gigs and TV shows take limelight off concerts
Reliable sources told Juicy Corner that one major concert featuring seasoned local artists has just been canceled because tickets to the concert have not been selling.
One of the major reasons why certain big acts could not stage major concerts anymore is because weekly noontime shows have been practically staging the same thing on TV... on a weekly basis.
Most of the pop artists who are making names in the music business are seen regularly and no surprises are left for the viewers to be encouraged to see these acts live.
The gig scene where intimate performances feature some of the country’s best live acts is also very active. One of the better regular live performances getting rave reviews at the moment is the regular stop Side A makes at Conways Bar at the Shangri-La in Makati where the band plays every Monday night. It’s a good thing Side A is among the few seasoned acts that can still mount major concerts and have people come and see them.
Anne recovers from injuries
Anne Curtis has been discharged from the hospital after suffering from minor injuries caused by a car accident.
Reports disclosed the young actress is now resting at her home after leaving the still undisclosed facility. Anne reportedly chose to skip her scheduled X-ray examination and went straight home in order to rest.
“The Wedding” star, who was driving a Porsche Cayenne, hit an L-300 delivery van on the corner of Congressional and Mindanao Avenues in Quezon City around 2:30 a.m. on Monday.
Aquino Marcelino, the van’s driver, said the actress possibly fell asleep while at the wheel.
