"Mommy Diary” host Suzi Entrata-Abrera talks about finding “The One,” “Fashionistas by Heart” style spy Jocas de Leon chats about her dad Joey de Leon’s passion for painting, and “True Confections” host Sam Oh shares a recipe that promises the best cheesecake ever.
Suzi, Jocas, Sam – just like “The Sweet Life” co-host Wilma Doesnt and “Quickfire” host Chef Rosebud Benitez – have been keeping the online community engaged as bloggers on WMN.ph, the highly-interactive female portal of Q Channel 11.
From the same group that powers GMAnews.tv (which receives 1.8 million unique hits and 35 million page views a month), iGMA.tv (1 million unique hits and 19 million page views a month), leading entertainment news site PEP.ph (20 million page views a month), and two of the fastest rising sites, Spot.ph amd StyleBible.ph – WMN.ph promises to go beyond conventional TV sites.
The highly interactive website tackles all things relevant to women through its different sections or channels. Ultimately, the site is all about helping women take better care of themselves, appreciate themselves and the people and things around them. And thanks to their blogs, tips and insights from various Q Channel 11 personalities are just a click away. Here are just some of the celeb bloggers on WMN.ph.
“Mommy Diary” host Suzi shares insights about family and relationships in her blog “Mama Suz.”
In one of her latest blogs, “Happily Ever After,” Suzi asked, “… how do we really find our perfect match? Out of billions of people in the world in thousands of cities in almost two hundred countries, how do we know that we’re with our soul mate? Many make the claim, but how do we know it’s for real?”
Daddy’s girl Jocas recently blogged about her dad’s passion for painting. She talked about his favorite subjects for his art pieces, his sense of humor, and his choice of titles for his paintings. “This is one of my dad’s favorites from his own works,” Jocas said about one of the many photos she posted on her blog. “He calls this painting ‘Sleeping with Heavenly Fish.’ I just love that his sense of humor extends right down to the titles of his paintings.”
Jocas, who graduated cum laude with a degree in Economics at Fordham University, is a regular on the primetime show “Fashionistas by Heart” together with Heart Evangelista and Schinina Juban.
For those who love humor in their blogs, look no further than Wilma Doesnt’s blog, “The Sweet Life of Wilma.” In her blog titled “Two Babies and a Mommy!,” “The Sweet Life” co-host Wilma has her inimitable humor written all over the piece.
She spoke candidly about her life and her two kids, “But one thing my kids have in common is pareho silang loveable at maganda! Wag na kumontra – anak ko nga sila! They said I’m lucky because of my kids, kaya nga I don’t consider them my mistakes; they are my biggest accomplishments in life.”
Sam Oh, a South Korean-born charmer who has been living in the Philippines for about 20 years now – is the resident sweet tooth of “True Confections,” a weekly show co-hosted by top pastry chefs and entrepreneurs Jackie Ang-Po of Fleur de Lys Patisserie and Aileen Anastacio of C’est Si Bon Corp.
This TV It Girl has hosted several shows, including Q Channel 11’s “Sam’s Quest,” “Living It Up!” and “Events Inc.” On WMN.ph, Sam blogs about food, and all the great things that come with it. In one of her recent blogs, she shared a recipe for what she promised would be “the best cheesecake. Ever.” This, she proudly said, is not the no-bake kind, it’s oven-baked.
With Sam, a self-confessed foodie, this is certainly going to be one great food adventure to the next.
Those who just can’t get enough of “Quickfire” will enjoy “CREAM: Chef Rosebud’s Entrees and More,” Chef Rosebud’s blog on WMN.ph.
In her piece called “Steak Tofu for a New You” Chef Rosebud gives great news for people who want to lose weight. She wrote, “Ang hirap talagang magpa-payat at mag-maintain ng weight, especially if you love eating rich and delicious food. Eh usually, kung ano pa ang masarap, yun pa ang nakakataba. Kaya I created a healthy and flavorful recipe that will help in kick-starting a diet.” That recipe, along with some helpful tips on tofu, are definitely keepers.
Such engaging, entertaining, and informative blogs… and more importantly, fit for the discerning taste and everyday concerns of the modern Filipina.
