Singer-actress Lovi Poe said that although work prevents her from frequently seeing or talking to her rumored boyfriend, Jolo Revilla nowadays, it did not spare her from Rosanna Roces’ ire.

In a taped interview aired on Channel 7’s “Startalk” on August 1, Lovi confirmed that there had been tension between her and Roces on the set of Channel 5’s “Lipgloss.”

“[It was] more than tension,” she said. “I’m just thankful na marami akong kaibigan sa set. Okay na sa akin na malaman ko na totoo ang mga taong nakapaligid sa akin at naniniwala sila sa akin.”

“Wala naman akong magagawa kung ganun s’ya,” she continued, still referring to Rosanna, or Osang, who plays her mother in the teen series.

“Tinuruan ako ng mga magulang ko na rumespeto hindi lang sa mga nakakatanda kundi sa kapwa tao. Hindi naman porke’t ganun ang ginawa n’ya sa akin [ay] ganun na rin ang gagawin ko sa kanya. Pinalaki naman ako nang maayos.”

Lovi said she had hoped that Osang would “spare her from the trouble” that apparently revolved around Gab, the four-year-old son of Jolo with his ex, Grace Adriano, Osang’s daughter who also recently gave birth to her second child sired this time by her current boyfriend.

Osang had demanded for the return of Budoy, her pet name for Gab, to her and Grace’s custody after the Revillas reportedly took the boy to oversee his treatment for primary complex (a focus of pneumonia due to primary infection).

Jolo recently announced that all is well again with his family and Osang.

But should the incident between her and Osang happen again, Lovi said she would neither fight back nor get shocked. “Ipagdadasal ko na lang s’ya sa dad ko.”

Lovi, 20, is the daughter of the late Fernando Poe Jr. She joined showbiz in 2006 as a singer and eventually branched out into acting by playing major roles in GMA 7’s drama series including “Bakekang” and “Sine Novela: Kaputol ng Isang Awit.”

After completing a season for “Lipgloss,” Lovi goes back to the Kapuso Network via the sitcom, “Show Me the Manny.”

Jolo, on the other hand, will star in an episode of Channel 2’s miniseries, “”Agimat… ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Sr.” that remakes the classic talisman flicks of his grandfather.
