Actress Marian Rivera sustained bruises while taping fight scenes for her latest GMA-7 fantaserye, “Darna.”

The actress said the friction from the harness she used, wounded her groin area.

“‘Yung harness at pinaka-legs ko, nag-rub," she explained at the “Darna” presscon last Aug. 3.

Marian shared how she addresses the "problem":  moisturizer.

"Nilalagyan ko na lang dun ng moisturizer after every taping.”

The actress visibly slimmed for the role through training and regular visits to the gym.

Co-star Celia Rodriguez is all praises for Marian's whistle-bait figure.

"Para sa akin, you’re the cutest and sexiest Darna,” said Celia who had been cast in four “Darna” shows in the past; notably as Valentina in one starring Vilma Santos.

Marian assured her fans that her Darna costume will not, shall we say, arouse controversy with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

“Medyo hinabaan [yung costume]. Marami [kasi] ang nag-react nung una so, siyempre, binibigyan natin ng importansiya ang sinasabi ng tao.”

Marian was asked, too, about Dingdong Dantes's birthday celebration.

To this day, although they have not come out in the open about their relationship, many people believe that they're an item.  

"Kumain lang kami sa labas with his family,” she said coyly. "Tanungin n’yo na lang siya."

Although she refused to reveal what she gave Dingdong as birthday gift, she said he liked it alright. 

"Nakita ko naman na masaya siya [sa gift]."

Her birthday wish for Dingdong?

"Gusto ko palagi siyang maging happy [at] maging successful sana siya."

“Darna” will start airing on Monday, August 10.
