Actor Derek Ramsay has denied that he and actress Angelica Panganiban are live-in partners.

According to the hunk actor, dubbed the “universal leading man” in showbiz, it only seems to be that way.

“Wala kaming magagawa kung magkatugma ang schedule namin kaya nagkakasama kami [ng madalas]. Like last week, kasama ko siya sa weekend kasi it was my dad’s birthday,” he said at the presscon of “And I Love You So” held at the Dolphy Studio in ABS-CBN.

The actor hopes to spend a day or two this month to celebrate their third anniversary.

“I hope we can spend the time just by ourselves, somewhere in the country.”

For his anniversary gift, Derek gave Angelica a Mini Cooper which the actress uses almost every day.

They once planned to take it for a joyride until it rained. “Dapat dadalhin namin sa Subic,” said Derek who admitted to be “jealous” of the attention Angelica showers the Mini Cooper with.

Derek feels no pressure over her relationship with the actress.

“I don’t worry that we don’t have much time. You don’t think of the worse that could happen in your relationship or why you’re in a relationship. Basta, you just know you’re happy and that the relationship is working,” he said.

His ultimate goal is to bring Angelica to England, his homeland.

“I want to show her where I’m from kasi she’s shown me where she’s from, Tondo.”

Derek plans to include England in his itinerary next year when he watches the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

“Sana ma-sidetrip namin ‘yan sa World Cup but I’m thinking also, maybe in September, magti-trip kami to Europe if my schedule permits.”
