Act of lasciviousness case against Aljur now with DOJ
The act of lasciviousness case filed to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) by a 15-year-old girl against actor Aljur Abrenica is now with the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The complainant sought help from the NBI in June, alleging that Abrenica touched her inappropriately on April 10 at a beach party in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
According to the findings of NBI which they furnished the DOJ, the teenager was there for a modeling job when she was introduced to Abrenica who was with a different group.
In the course of their conversation, Abrenica allegedly started touching the girl’s arms, hands, shoulders. Abrenica also “brushed” his arms against the complainant’s breasts.
The same incident was said to have been repeated the next day, April 11 with Abrenica going as far as to hold the minor by the waist and touch her behind. The report did not say if the girl resisted Abrenica’s advances.
The case is now with the Chief State Prosecutor which is yet to schedule a hearing.
In an interview with GMA News, Abrenica calmly addressed the issue.
“I’m confident that the truth will come out soon,” he said, hoping for the case to be settled soon.
Manila Bulletin Online called GMA-7 on Aug. 13 for a statement but was told that the network has not issued one yet.
