Singer, actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga sees no competition between her and Pop Star Sarah Geronimo.

"Actually, nahihiya nga ako sa kanya kasi may mga nag-co-compare," she told “Showbiz News Ngayon” in an interview on Aug. 12.

Toni and Sarah are being pitted against each other for having similar career paths. They are both singers, concert performers, movie actors and product endorsers.

In the same interview, Toni humbly admitted that she is no match to Sarah.

"Malayo na talaga ang narating niya. Kumbaga, malaki na ang napatunayan niya when it comes to movies and performing [in concerts and shows]. Talagang kahon-kahon na bigas ang kakainin ko bago ko marating iyon," she said.

Toni said she is not out to compete with Sarah or anyone else in show business for that matter.

"Walang intensyon, walang balak na tapatan o kahit ano man. I'm just here to do my job."

Toni is in the Erap-Ai Ai movie also starring Sam Milby, a former suitor. Reportedly, the TV host-actress feels uncomfortable working with him.

"Hindi po. Wala nang hang-up, wala nang issue, wala nang intriga. Tahimik na lahat. It's all in the past. Everyone has to move on [at] matagal na akong naka-move on," she explained.

Toni thinks the rumors are meant to simply spice up their reunion onscreen.

"Nada-drag lang talaga [kami kasi], siyempre, love team. [Pero] it's better this way na hindi nahahaluan ng personal [so] we can focus on work," she said.
