Three hundred thirty eight-people were arrested in anti-crime operations in Cavite in the last three months and a half, the Police Provincial Office reported over the weekend.

The law violators were arrested in continuing police drives in the province's 20 towns and three cities.

The number of arrests was contained in a report that the Cavite Police Provincial Office (CPPO) released last Friday.

The report cited, among others, the performance and accomplishments of Supt. Jonathan Ferdinand G. Miano, Officer-in-Charge of CPPO in his first 100 days in office.

Miano was designated CPPO OIC, replacing Supt. Efren B. Castro, last May 28. He is a native of Cagayan de Oro and a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA).

Prior to his designation, Miano was assigned to Regional Comptrollership Divison and the Manila Police District (MPD).

The report released by Chief Inspector Milagros Sanchez, CPPO Public Information Officer, said no bank robbery, kidnap-for-ransom and hijacking incidents occurred in Miano’s term.

During the period, police officers and men arrested 35 drug pushers and 79 drug users in the province. Sixty-four of those arrested were charged in court.
