Weather forecasters at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warned of scattered rains over Luzon and the Visayas as a result of the inter-tropical convergence zone prevailing in the regions.

In its weather bulletin posted at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, PAGASA explained that the weather system will slightly enhance the southwest monsoon, which will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms in Luzon and Visayas.

It added that mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains will prevail over Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon including Metro Manila as well as Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan.

The weather bureau said Mindanao will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or the evening. (Rio Rose Ribaya)
