The Aristocrat Restaurant traces its humble beginnings back to 1936 to the Reyes matriarch, Dona Engracia Cruz-Reyes, more known as Lola Asiang. She was known for her discipline, dedication and inherent culinary genius that made a once lowly mobile canteen into a restaurant enterprise loved by many.

True to its calling, today’s new generation of Reyeses have embarked on a bold move to expand the restaurant operations in other key areas of the country. From its original base along Roxas Blvd, The Aristocrat Restaurant opened its doors in Jupiter, Makati, Robinsons Place Manila, SM City San Lazaro, SM Mall of Asia, The Block, Araneta Center, SM City Pampanga and their newly opened branch at SM City Manila, to accommodate the growing appetite of people for delectable Filipino dishes. Their branch in Subic, which opened last December 2005, is one of the many products of an aggressive franchise program the company has adopted.

Today, they are now celebrating the grand opening of the Aristocrat Restaurant at SM City Manila. The newest branch of Aristocrat is a showcase of retro and modern interior design, and shall be the sixth of their mall restaurants, as they expand and embark on an aggressive franchising program within Metro Manila. What started as a snack mobile by the Reyes matriarch, Doña Engracia “Aling Asiang” Cruz-Reyes, has now grown into a restaurant enterprise, dubbed as the oldest serving restaurant.
