Noise leads to death in QC
A man was stabbed dead by his cousin in their house in Quezon City Friday night after the former scolded the latter for being too noisy that could wake up his baby.
Investigator PO2 Norlan Margallo said they have in custody the suspect who was identified as Robert dela Cruz, 26, who works as a driver.
Margallo said Dela Cruz will be charged for the death of his cousin Elbert delas Alas, 26, a construction worker.
The investigator said Delas Alas sustained a fatal stab wound in the back and died at 1:05 a.m. Sunday while being treated at the Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH).
Margallo said the stabbing incident took place at 9 p.m. Friday inside the house where the two men lived at No. 36-F Batis St., Sitio Maligaya, Barangay Bahay Toro.
Prior the incident, the victim was in his room when he heard his cousin talking too loudly with his live-in-partner at his room just next to his.
Because of this, the victim told his cousin through the walls to shut up because his nine-month-old child was sleeping.
However, the suspect shouted back, saying “Bakit pag-aari mo ba ito? Wala na ba akong karapatang mag-ingay dito? Gusto ninyo patayin ko kayo lahat.”
This angered Delas Alas who rushed to his cousin’s room and punched the suspect in the head.
