Nude video allegedly of Eric Dane circulates in Hollywood
A nude video said to ‘star’ “Grey’s Anatomy” actor Eric Dane, his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart and former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche is currently a hot topic in Hollywood tabloids and streaming web news.
The four-minute video-- said to have been edited from a 12-minute tape -- was first seen at Gawker.com on Aug. 18 (Manila time).
In the video, people who are said to be Dane, his wife and Peniche (who lost her crown after posing for Playboy) are seen naked in bed talking "porn names," according to Daily Mail Reporter.
Danes’ and Gayheart’s lawyer Marty Singer told TMZ that the video is "not a sex tape."
However, Gawker.com reported, "Dane’s and Gayheart's adorable lawyer Marty Singer hasn't sent us any legal threats yet, but he did get on the phone with TMZ to issue a threat against, well, us because the tape is 'private, confidential.'"
For more damage control, Singer warned the public that the material is private, and that streaming and uploading it is illegal. "From what I've seen, it's a naked tape, not a sex tape. At most, it's three people maybe wanting to have sex," said Singer.
Peniche's manager David Weintraub was of the same opinion.
“This is not a sex tape. It's guys having fun, hanging out together. There is no sex involved in this. That's the overall of it. Those are good friends of hers. It was in good fun and, unfortunately, now it's public record," said Weintraub.
The first time Gayheart, 38, was photographed naked with a woman was in June. The photograph, published by National Enquirer, showed her naked in a bathtub with an unidentified female companion.
Like all video scandals, the supposed Dane-Gayheart-Peniche video was uploaded by “someone;” in this case, allegedly by country singer Mindy McCready, Peniche's roommate on the reality show "Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab."
According to Peniche's camp, McCready stole the video from her.
McCready, however, denied the allegations to TMZ. "Kari Ann was the one who stole my hard drive and copied it to two mini-drives. She also stole money from me. I think she probably wanted to sell my music. I was the one trying to keep Kari Ann out of trouble; steering her away from drugs during the taping of the show," said McCready.
