Jomari wants to duet with his ex-girlfriends
In a seemingly blatant move to wrangle whatever iota of glory he might still get out of it, Jomari Yllana recently suggested singing a duet with each of his famous ex-girlfriends.
"Sa maniwala kayo o sa hindi, Aiko (Melendez), Ara (Mina) and Pops (Fernandez)," said he when asked whom he wants to sing with during the press conference for “Celebrity Duets.”
Not surprisingly, Jomari has an explanation for his choices.
Hindi ako kumakanta sa iba," said he.
When asked to comment on Pops hesitation to duet with him, Jomari simply shrugged.
Aiko, at least, seems open to Jomari’s suggestion.
Two songs Jom wants to sing in the competition are "What Matters Most" and "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang".
The former 'Gwapings' admits he still has stage fright after all these years and that he joined “Celebrity Duets” to overcome this.
It's not as if you'll just be there to do a show.
We come from different fields. Talagang hindi naman kami mang-aawit."
The competition, Jom said, is "very even [kasi] walang lamang, walang dehado."
The other celebrity contestants in “Celebrity Duet” are former beauty queen Janina San Miguel, beauty maven Mikaela Bilbao, costume and fashion designer Maxie Cinco, Brazilian-Japanese model Akihiro Sato, lord of scents Joel Cruz, actress-movie director Gina Alajar, fashion photographer Niccolo Cosme and WBA Interim Super Flyweight World Champion Nonito Donaire.
