‘Land of the Lost’ poses intriguing premise
What happens when you put together a has- been scientist, a hot research assistant and a redneck souvenir shopkeeper in a time space vortex?
Find out when United International Picture pose the intriguing premise in their latest movie offering, "Land of the Lost".
Opening in local theaters on September 2, "Land of The Lost" stars Will Ferell as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall; Anna Friel as his crack-smart research assistant Holly; and Danny McBride as a redneck ‘souvenirist.’
These three unlikely people are bunched in a time space continuum of an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures.
Adding hilarity to the proceedings is a primitive humanoid named Chaka (Jorma Taccone of ”Saturday Night Live” who the trio hope could help them navigate a way out of the hybrid dimension.
Based on the classic series created by television icons Sid & Marty Krofft, “Land of the Lost” is directed by Brad Silberling (“Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events,” “Casper”) and produced by Jimmy Miller(“Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” “Step Brothers”) and Sid and Marty Krofft.
“Land of the Lost” is written by Chris Henchy (“I’m With Her,” “The Last Janitor”) and Dennis McNicholas (“The Ladies Man,” “The Last Janitor”).
