Zambo water firm upgrades pump station
Zamboanga City – The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) Wednesday said the upgrading of the Cabatangan Water Booster System Station is nearing completion in line with its mission to deliver adequate supply of water of excellent quality and to provide the best service to its consumers.
ZCWD general manger Leonardo Rey D. Vasquez said the ZCWD has allocated P702,201 for the project that includes the installation of water pumps, including its appurtenances and fittings.
Vasquez said the ZCWD has to upgrade the Cabatangan Booster Water System station in Cabatangan to meet the needs of the people living in the area.
As of the moment, most of the people in the area are experiencing low water pressure and sometimes the booster could not deliver the needed demand and so there is no water coming from their faucet, he explained.
Adding that the Cabatangan water consumers, especially those living in highly elevated areas, have been experiencing low water pressure as of last quarter of 2008 despite the operation
of the pumping station located in the area.
ZCWD has to deliver water through water tanks to serve the water needs of the consumers in Cabatangan, Vasquez said.
