CLARK FREEPORT — Clark airport and Hong Kong-based Filipino officials conducted last Sunday presentations before some 250 officers and members of various organizations of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) to promote Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Clark as a point departure and arrival of workers and tourists from South China.

The officials who made the presentations included Hong Kong Consul General Claro Cristobal, Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) President-CEO Victor Jose I. Luciano, CIAC Chairman Nestor Mangio, former tourism Secretary Mina Gabor, Clark Tourism Manager Noeme Garcia, and Mark Nepomuceno.

Early last year, CIAC launched a campaign to promote DMIA on alarger scale as it embarked on its first international roadshow that was kicked off in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Luciano led the CIAC roadshow team for the marketing and promotional event for the DMIA, dubbed “Via DMIA: Rediscover Clark and Subic, Philippines.” This was conducted last Sunday at the Star Room, Level 42, of the Langham Place Hotel in Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Luciano and Mangio made presentations on the DMIA, while executives of airlines led by Cebu Pacific gave briefings on their operations at the Clark airport.

Meanwhile, at least 50 travel representatives and travel writers from Hong Kong, Macau, and South China, meanwhile, were scheduled to attend the second day of the road show, which was on Monday.
