Jennifer Rosales had her best finish in the LPGA season when she tied for 17th in the Safeway Classic after firing a final round even par 72 at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club course in Oregon.

Rosales, who had earlier rounds of 68 and 70, ended her bid at six under par 210, seven strokes off MJ Hur of South Korea, who beat Suzann Pettersen and Michele Redman in a two-hole playoff.

Rosales had three birdies and three bogeys in the final round of the 54-hole tournament and earned her $21,000, her biggest pay check for the year.

Hur hit a 6-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to beat Suzann Pettersen for her victory.

Hur shot a final-round 65, while Norway’s Pettersen and American veteran Michele Redman each finished with a 67 to finish at 13-under 203 and set up the playoff.

Redman, whose last tour victory came in 2000, was knocked out when she missed a short putt for par on the first playoff hole, the par-4 No. 18.

Hur, who competed on the Futures Tour last season, had played in 13 previous LPGA tournaments this season, making the cut six times.

After a foot-long putt for par to finish her round, she quickly exited the course. But rather than retreat somewhere to watch Pettersen and Redman finish their rounds, she waited at the clubhouse before heading for the putting green.
